lyrics
Hell has unleashed its finest specimen to destroy me, just as I was most unaware. The begrudging demons are strong in number, and take me down to their lair. Icy white teeth splay open my flesh, as the blood stains the bare skin of evil. Claws sharp as saw blades take hold of my body - the skin begins to peel. This world has baited me into believing I wasn’t strong enough. The only enemy was myself? I see that was a taunting bluff. Curse ye, illustrious controller of this bleeding, tattered carcass. I merely wanted love, but you have proved this journey worthless. Bones spur from the inside out. Deceit smells across their breath. To agony and pain, I am devout. The bandits leave me near death.
never been a big death metal fan but this is actually super accessible for the genre, has fun concepts, and personally i'm always a fan of albums with short tracklists and huge runtimes (for individual songs) Great time, good jumping on point for newbies too. alienasu
i checked out bands coming to my town, and xoth were on the list. at first i thought they were cheesy since i only liked metal to be deep, dark, and atmospheric .
i did enjoy the technical complexity, so i gave them another chance. i equated shredding with jockishness (ugh), but i now see it as a creative choice. i just had to approach it on my own terms, and xoth was the perfect gateway for this. they really opened up a new world for me. quasiotter
Distilled death metal with catchy riffs and well written songs. It's not reinventing the wheel or anything but it's osdm, if that's what you want look elsewhere. grahamy
I dig this album so much, definitely a keeper. Subtly and masterfully mixing death metal subgenres, backed with an over the top production. They're true professionals. Can't wait for their next release! doive
